Bill was outrageously high $400 for an hr of work. Technicians tried charging twice for diagnostic two different times. Technician lied about the time he has at my home. He stated he worked on my ac for 2 hrs when he was here under one hour. Also, they charge for driving to your home but they don’t tell you before hand.

We replaced an aging furnace and air conditioner with a hybrid heat pump and furnace. The work was quick and done well. There was a problem about 6 months later with the heat pump and they honored the warranty with several visits from the very nice tech to get it right. Now it’s been a year and we love the system—it’s quiet and efficient. We just had the yearly maintenance done and the tech is so nice and again it was a seamless process.

Great folks and skilled installers. We needed a new HVAC system and hot water heater. Got quotes from 4 vendors. Paul from Day was awesome to work with regarding equipment, rebates, and costs. The crews arrived on-time, were overly helpful in answering questions, pleasant, and professional. Installation was over 3 days, every day on-time, on schedule, and positive attitude. Completed install on schedule, walked though operation of system, and they even went above and beyond to ensure that mistakes that were made by the original system installer (not Day) were corrected. They proactively looked to resolve prior installation issues, which was super helpful and appreciated. I would highly recommend Day Heating and Cooling.

Heater died and I had their technician came out and he isolated the problem to the Ignition Control Board. This heater has a single printed circuit board with spade and plug connections. Technician was knowledgeable and the cost was $99 for the diagnosis. They called the next AM to discuss the price and wanted $950 to replace the board. I ordered the board online for $200 and replaced it myself. Took about an hour and there was nothing complicated to deal with. Hate feeling like I'm being taken advantage of. The replacement board I received was OEM and exactly the same as the original one. Overcharging customers who are without heat doesn't feel like a way to get repeat customers or good word of mouth reviews. Won't go back.

I basically needed an entire new system. Originally, my ductwork was in the crawlspace and was continually being ruined so my option was an entire new system in the attic. I had at least four companies entirely ghost me after giving me a quote because of its complexity. Luke at Day Heating was able to design a great system for my needs. He and the entire company have been incredibly accommodating and thorough, almost to a fault. The installers were actually disappointed that they couldn’t be here when the system went online to see at work. Day Heating doesn’t service the Portland area because of the travel expenses and after hearing my nearly one year search for a company to do my system, he chose to show pity on me and help me out. The one local company that gave me a quote but not for the system I wanted, was very nearly the exact same price. I am so happy with the experience with Luke, Ahren and the team that I will recommend them to everyone I know.

I contacted Day regarding a new install bid for my business. I spoke to Luke Stucky multiple times, he also came out to the business twice. Luke quickly provided us with a competitive bid that was comprehensive. Not knowing a lot about hvac when we started this project, I had a ton of questions. Luke was patient and professional at all times. I highly recommend Day and working with Luke Stucky. Day is lucky to have Mr. Stucky!

I had a ductless system put in the home and it has not been able to heat or cool since the first month of operation. I had them come back and they said everything was fine. So we had another company come in and work on the system. They had to charge the system again.They found some issues with the head units and fixed them. That lasted about four months before the unit died again.In December I had them come in to service the system and try and get it to work again. They cleaned the heads on all the units and re-charged the system(a unit this old should not have to have the system charged, let alone charged again).Once again the system does not work. So this is July, it is hot, and nothing works. So I went in to see if they will do anything to remedy the problem, I was told that it only has a one year warranty and it is past that time. He was very polite in telling me it’s my problem, but it’s my problem. Even though I showed pictures of where the leak was at initial installation.I had a Bryant system installed that should last a long time, and spending $20k in two years you would expect a bit more in quality and service.I will not be doing business with them again, there are other companies that will stand behind their work. And they will not be getting business from the company that I work for either.

If you have an oil furnace do not use Day heating. Ours is still broke after 6+ visits They also wanted to charge us over $900.00 with a furnace still broken. We had already paid them for the first visit. After the last visit and yet another wrong part ordered they finally called to say we can't service your furnace.. This has been going on for almost 5 months.

Day Energy performed a full energy assessment of our house, installed attic insulation and roof vents as well as under house insulation.Day Energy exceeded our expectations in every way. The energy assessment was done by Ahren Burgdorf. He arrived on time to do the energy assessment was pleasant, professional, knowledgeable, prepared with blueprints of the home and fully listened to our concerns. His assessment was thorough, under the house and in the attic space. He found unknown issues. Our bathroom fan was venting directly into the attic and some of the attic space was separated from the main area and was not properly vented. He clearly communicated his recommendations, the approximate costs and Energy Trust incentives in real time. He also answered all our questions. We received the very reasonable written estimate within 24 hours.We were equally impressed on the day the crew arrived to do the work. The installers arrived on time, were professional, respectful, efficient and worked cohesively together to complete the project. They protected the interior work pathways by covering the floor with paper and protecting furniture with cardboard on corners. The next day we received photos of the work that was done and the crew was happy to come out to the house resolve one minor issue that arose.We happily recommend Day Energy without reservation.

Update- after elevated to a supervisor, we had a technician out here who found a leak in our system. Luke was great to work with and our system is working better than it EVER has.I would like to talk with the owner about my ductless system and how it is not working. After being hung up on the phone on Sunday March 26 at 840ish in the morning about my system not working. I am trying to figure out how to heat my house. The temperature is 35 degrees outside, my 6 yr old, 15 yr old, and wife are cold in our house, and the on-call tech hung up on us telling us that we need to call back on Monday because he didn't need to be talked to in a disrespectful manner. Yeah, I am upset. My heating system hasn't worked correctly at all since it was installed and now it's not working at all. We have 4 units, and not a single one is working correctly. Talking to customers who are upset is part of any good business. Deescalating and being empathetic goes such a long way when talking to a customer whose heat hasnt been working all night. Hanging up on a customer and telling him to call back during normal business hours when it's 35 degrees outside and our house is 50 inside, that is very unprofessional.

The very best you could hope for in a company. Everyone acted in unison to exceed my expectations. I had an emergency. I am not healthy and elderly. My old furnace was leaking gas and carbon monoxide into my home. The other company that Fidelity National Warranty Company sent let me down. I called Day and they installed a high efficiency furnace and solved my dangerous situation in record breaking time at the right price. Every one at Day were professional and really caring. You must call Day and have them save and help you as they did me.

This review is to commend Ahren Burgdorf for the home insulation proposal he prepared for our older home. He was extremely thorough in his examination, including coming prepared with county records of the footprint and square footage. He listened carefully to our concerns and needs before doing a complete assessment of our attic and crawlspace. He then described his recommendations in real time. He was very accommodating to our needs for flexibility on the project given some of the work we planned to do ourselves. His written proposal came within one business day and was clear and detailed. He followed up quickly with emails or phone calls when we had additional questions and altered his proposal as necessary. His bid was much more complete and came in FAR lower than several other insulation companies we contacted. Ultimately we chose a different local contractor that fit our very tight budget. But based on Ahren's knowledge and professionalism we have no issue recommending his company for your insulation project.

Amazing Full Service Company!! Rats had gotten into our crawl space, torn up the under-floor insulation, and chewed a hole in the HVAC ductwork. What a mess. After having several companies come out to give us quotes, and learning that no one could take care of ALL aspects of the problem, we luckily called Day Heating. They were the only one that could “do It all.” They have a unit called Day Pest that eradicated the rats, identified all entry points, and did a tremendous job of installing wire mesh to prevent another invasion. Daniel, the head of that unit, was the only person to discover that the rats were entering through a hole next to the city’s water line!! (Four other people missed this.) In a beautifully coordinated way, another unit within Day Heating then removed the under-floor insulation, replaced it, and replaced the vapor barrier as well. Finally, they replaced the ruined portion of ductwork and left a beautiful, tidy, clean environment under our house.The fee Day Heating quoted and charged was less than that quoted by companies who had promised to just eradicate the rats, install preventative measures, and tape up on the destroyed HVAC ductwork! Those other companies said that the insulation and vapor barrier work would have to be done by someone else.Day Heating did the entire job right, thoroughly, professionally, on time, and for the price quoted. I am so impressed by their employees! From the ladies who answer the phones, to the managers, to the installers, to the billing lady who will take your payment over the phone — all of them are genuinely nice and highly competent people!Would give more than 5 stars, if I could.

They get a 10/10 from my husband and I. They were fantastic. Jim was great with discussing what they were going to do when we’re ordering our heat pump. Jeff was wonderful! He kept us informed on the arrival of the heat pump and he even was available for us on Saturday morning and Saturday night when we had questions or issues with our heat pump. What was even awesome was when Jeff had us call the emergency number my husband let me know one of the guys would be out later that day but he was out here within the hour. Alan checked everything to make sure we were good with the heat pump since it was our first one. So if you have doubts about Day Heating don’t. I would recommend them to anyone.Sue and Wayne

In February of 2020 our furnace went out. We decided to add AC as well. We received bids from multiple companies and chose Day. We have several friends who have used them and had good things to say about their customer service. This summer, during the record setting heatwave, our AC unit was having some problems. Casey came out and inspected our unit, ran diagnostics, and made it serviceable until the new part could be ordered and a follow up appointment could be scheduled. I got a call from the person who schedules and I let her know I was disappointed that I would have to pay for labor on a brand new system. She remained professional and let me know she would pass on my concern. I told my wife that meant I would have to give a follow up phone call as the scheduler was super busy. However, the next day Luke called to talk through the issue. They were going to do the work at no charge to me even though I was out of the warranty window for labor.A couple days before my appointment I got another call from Luke. He shared that, after reviewing our account, he thought our unit was undersized for our house. They would be replacing it with the next size up. I was very impressed. They could have simply fixed the part and been done with it, but they put their customer first. After the work was done I received a follow up phone call from Luke checking to make sure everything was working well. We have noticed a big difference in the comfort of our home since the work was completed.Day Heating and Cooling has demonstrated exceptional customer service and I highly recommend them.
