The very best you could hope for in a company. Everyone acted in unison to exceed my expectations. I had an emergency. I am not healthy and elderly. My old furnace was leaking gas and carbon monoxide into my home. The other company that Fidelity National Warranty Company sent let me down. I called Day and they installed a high efficiency furnace and solved my dangerous situation in record breaking time at the right price. Every one at Day were professional and really caring. You must call Day and have them save and help you as they did me.June13, 2025. Forest was my tech today. Forest exceeds my expectations.Forest should have his very own TV commercial. That good and better.I would say, Forest comes to your home with a very friendly professional courteous personality.Very efficient and knowledgeable. Can give you the best answer to any question with his on going training and awareness of HVAC systems and energy efficiency.So grateful to have had Forest come to my home today and make sure my A/C is up to the task of a projected hot summer season.Thank you, Day Heating and Cooling of Salem.Always reliable and available company staff and technicians.Dont even consider using another company even if they say they are cheaper. There's a reason. They can't measure up to Forest and Day Heating and Cooling of Salem.

Service was great but I was already charged 140 for a visit the previous day for the same issue and it wasn’t resolved. So I was charged a second service fee 24 hours later and spent over $700 to get my thermostat working. I would’ve given them more stars if they waived the service call the second time.

Paul and Eugene were amazing! I got quotes from 3 different businesses for furnace replacement but Paul really *listened* to my needs and gave me options with thorough explanations. Eugene was prompt, courteous, and did a fantastic job with installation. Valerie was also super with helping me schedule times that worked for me. I will never stop recommending Day Heating.

Day Heating has been quick to install and service my HVac system. They gave me a competitive price. We had a as problem that turned out to be a factory defect. They came out right after I called and found the problem. They even fixed a duct that was not part of their service. They clearly explained the problem.

I was delighted with the prompt service I received, from the moment of my early morning request for help on an Air Conditioning issue, to scheduling a visit the next day, and then finding time in their schedule to bring that forward and fit me in on that same day. All contact, with both office staff and the onsite staff, was understanding and very patient. Greg (onsite) was even willing to accommodate with a smile my tendency to make inane jokes. I have been depending this company for more than ten years for electrical and heating equipment support. On the most recent encounter, my faulty equipment was quickly corrected and returned to service, after which the technician voluntarily spent some time on customer education. In the event, the technician was familiar with both myself and my previous residence, and has many years experience. I don't want any more equipment failures, but if they were to happen, I would want no one else to deal with the problem.

Very professional and courteous with figuring out what was wrong with the Daikin inverter unit. I really appreciated the easy to understand explanations of what was going on with the AC and heating not functioning properly. They definitely have great understanding with this brand unit. They were very fast in response to come out and check out the issues I was having with it functioning properly when running the AC and any mode for that matter. I would absolutely recommend Day Heating & Cooling.

We replaced an aging furnace and air conditioner with a hybrid heat pump and furnace. The work was quick and done well. There was a problem about 6 months later with the heat pump and they honored the warranty with several visits from the very nice tech to get it right. Now it’s been a year and we love the system—it’s quiet and efficient. We just had the yearly maintenance done and the tech is so nice and again it was a seamless process.

Great folks and skilled installers. We needed a new HVAC system and hot water heater. Got quotes from 4 vendors. Paul from Day was awesome to work with regarding equipment, rebates, and costs. The crews arrived on-time, were overly helpful in answering questions, pleasant, and professional. Installation was over 3 days, every day on-time, on schedule, and positive attitude. Completed install on schedule, walked though operation of system, and they even went above and beyond to ensure that mistakes that were made by the original system installer (not Day) were corrected. They proactively looked to resolve prior installation issues, which was super helpful and appreciated. I would highly recommend Day Heating and Cooling.

Heater died and I had their technician came out and he isolated the problem to the Ignition Control Board. This heater has a single printed circuit board with spade and plug connections. Technician was knowledgeable and the cost was $99 for the diagnosis. They called the next AM to discuss the price and wanted $950 to replace the board. I ordered the board online for $200 and replaced it myself. Took about an hour and there was nothing complicated to deal with. Hate feeling like I'm being taken advantage of. The replacement board I received was OEM and exactly the same as the original one. Overcharging customers who are without heat doesn't feel like a way to get repeat customers or good word of mouth reviews. Won't go back.

I basically needed an entire new system. Originally, my ductwork was in the crawlspace and was continually being ruined so my option was an entire new system in the attic. I had at least four companies entirely ghost me after giving me a quote because of its complexity. Luke at Day Heating was able to design a great system for my needs. He and the entire company have been incredibly accommodating and thorough, almost to a fault. The installers were actually disappointed that they couldn’t be here when the system went online to see at work. Day Heating doesn’t service the Portland area because of the travel expenses and after hearing my nearly one year search for a company to do my system, he chose to show pity on me and help me out. The one local company that gave me a quote but not for the system I wanted, was very nearly the exact same price. I am so happy with the experience with Luke, Ahren and the team that I will recommend them to everyone I know.

I had a ductless system put in the home and it has not been able to heat or cool since the first month of operation. I had them come back and they said everything was fine. So we had another company come in and work on the system. They had to charge the system again.They found some issues with the head units and fixed them. That lasted about four months before the unit died again.In December I had them come in to service the system and try and get it to work again. They cleaned the heads on all the units and re-charged the system(a unit this old should not have to have the system charged, let alone charged again).Once again the system does not work. So this is July, it is hot, and nothing works. So I went in to see if they will do anything to remedy the problem, I was told that it only has a one year warranty and it is past that time. He was very polite in telling me it’s my problem, but it’s my problem. Even though I showed pictures of where the leak was at initial installation.I had a Bryant system installed that should last a long time, and spending $20k in two years you would expect a bit more in quality and service.I will not be doing business with them again, there are other companies that will stand behind their work. And they will not be getting business from the company that I work for either.

If you have an oil furnace do not use Day heating. Ours is still broke after 6+ visits They also wanted to charge us over $900.00 with a furnace still broken. We had already paid them for the first visit. After the last visit and yet another wrong part ordered they finally called to say we can't service your furnace.. This has been going on for almost 5 months.
